ANAPRI ANNUAL MEMBERS' MEETING 2025: handover of the presidency

On Friday, June 27, 2025, the ANAPRI Members' General Meeting was held in the Asquini Hall of Cjase Cocèl in Fagagna (UD). This year, the event was particularly heartfelt, as well as emotional, as it saw the renewal of the Board of Directors together with a historic change of Presidency. Over a hundred people attended the Meeting, including breeders, delegates and friends of the outgoing President Franco Moras, who is leaving the position after 27 years. During this time, Moras has led the National Association through many successes and satisfactions; sensitive to technical innovations, always open to innovation and the scientific world, with livestock farming in his heart and, above all, the young people who make up the breeding world. During his mandates, the Italian Simmental Breed has seen its numbers increase, both in consistency and production. He has always lived the National Association fully and without holding back, starting from his activity in the field, as a type classifier.

Franco Moras will continue to manage his family farm together with his son Simone, dedicating more time to his family, who has been close to him in all these years. The entire ANAPRI, with deep gratitude, wishes to thank Franco Moras for being the protagonist of an important piece of its history.

On the occasion of this important moment for ANAPRI, the president of the World Federation of Simmental Breeders, Sebastian Auernig, also a breeder from nearby Carinthia (Austria), also intervened to present Franco Moras with the WSFF Special Award, a special prize reserved for people who have distinguished themselves for the promotion of the Simmental breed in the world.

The newly elected president is Martin Deval, 45 years old, who runs a farm of 56 animals, 31 lactating cows, in Val Badia in San Vigilio di Marebbe (BZ) with his family. After two terms as vice president, he took on this role with pride and a sense of responsibility towards all Italian breeders, from Sicily to Alto Adige, who deserve to continue to improve the Italian Red Pied as has been done so far.

In the new Board of Directors he is joined by the vice-presidents Francesco Greco from Martina Franca (TA) and Elena Tavano from Lestizza (UD). The other directors are: Stefano Albasini (Rabbi - TN), Mirko Breda (Cansiglio - BL), Giuseppe Felice Crosetti (Revello - CN), Michele Gandin (S. Pier d’Isonzo - GO), Andrea Stocchi (Lesignano de’ Bagni - PR) and Hannes Taschler (Dobbiaco - BZ).

ANAPRI congratulates the new president Martin Deval, wishing him and the entire board of directors a future full of satisfaction and important results.
