Passing of Dr. Hugo Valentine (IT)

It is with deep sadness that we have received the news of the passing of Dr. Hugo Valentin, who died on 8 September 2025 at the age of 87. He dedicated his life to cattle breeding and became one of the most influential figures in European Fleckvieh genetics work.

Dr. Hugo Valentin was a true pioneer of European Fleckvieh breeding, whose knowledge, passion, and dedication shaped generations of breeders. From 1992 to 1996, he served as Vice President of the World Simmental-Fleckvieh Federation.

His contribution to cattle breeding, both nationally and internationally was invaluable and will have a lasting impact.
